Build Story — YPG Motorsport Reference Vehicle

Mercedes-AMG GT R
The car we test everything on.

The YPG750 AMG GT R is our own development and reference vehicle — the platform we use to validate ECU calibrations, test hardware combinations, and push the M177 engine to its practical limit, before shipping calibrations to clients across the GCC.

Not a Customer Build. The Baseline for Every One.

This isn't a one-off customer spec — it's the car every AMG GT R calibration gets measured against. Before a Stage 2 file ships to a client in Kuwait, UAE, or anywhere else in the GCC, the underlying data was proven here first.

The goal was never maximum power in ideal conditions. It was consistent, repeatable power delivery in GCC ambient conditions — 45–55°C — under sustained track load, without exceeding the M177's safety margins.

What Changed, and Why

The YPG750 calibration was developed over multiple track sessions at Kuwait Motor Town — not chasing a peak number, but repeatable, safe power delivery in real Gulf heat.

  • Boost Pressure TargetsIncreased across the full RPM range, with soft limits on boost reduction above oil temperature thresholds.
  • Ignition TimingAdvanced throughout, calibrated per-cylinder for GCC 98 RON fuel.
  • Thermal ManagementFactory cooling fan strategy recalibrated to reduce power loss during sustained high-load sections.
  • Throttle MapsSharpened in Sport and Sport+ modes; Race mode calibration adjusted for track entry.
"Gulf ambient temperature at track level during summer sessions exceeds 50°C — conditions that reveal thermal management issues a European dyno test never will."

Kuwait Motor Town is the GCC's only FIA Grade 2 homologated circuit — and the site of our world record, the first 9-second quarter mile by a W205 Mercedes-AMG C63. Every calibration developed here is proven in the same heat, the same conditions, GCC clients actually drive in.

What YPG750 Means for Client Calibrations

The YPG750 isn't a customer-spec build — it's a reference platform. The calibration knowledge developed on this car directly informs the Stage 2 files shipped to AMG GT R clients across Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.

When a GCC client receives a YPG Stage 2 calibration, the baseline data behind that file was validated in the same ambient conditions they'll be driving in — the thermal strategy, fuel compensation, and boost targets, all calibrated for the environment the car will actually be used in.
